Tactical football card battles
Football 6-7 is a freemium card-based sports game built around football, quick matches, and tactical squad building. Here, you need to put together a team of footballers and coaches, build a deck around their strengths, and then take it into competitive PvP matches.
There’s a collection and progression side to Football 6-7, too. As you build your squad and improve your cards, you also work your way through competitive ranks and take on different goals along the way. If you’ve played Smoq Games 24 Pack Opener, some of that progression structure will feel familiar.
Put the right players in the right zones
Football 6-7 asks you to do one thing: control more areas of the pitch than the other player. Each match lasts six turns and is split into three zones. You play your cards, they are revealed, and the Power in each zone is compared. Whoever controls more zones wins. It sounds simple enough, but where you place each card can make a real difference.
The interesting part is figuring out what you can play each turn. You get Energy that increases from one point on Turn 1 to six on Turn 6, while each card has its own Cost and Power. Some cards also have Talents. First Touch effects activate when a card is revealed, while On the Pitch effects stay active. Zones can also raise or lower Power, or favor certain roles.
There’s still a bit to manage once you’re done with matches. You can upgrade footballers and coaches, complete Albums, raise your Collection Level, and unlock more players, coaches, modes, and rewards. The game also has seven Ranked leagues, daily and weekly quests, plus free and Premium Season Pass tracks, with the latter optional. Every card can be earned for free, though sticking to the free track means significantly slower progression.
Worth playing, but expect a grind
To sum up, Football 6-7 is easy to pick up for fans of the sport. Its card-based approach rewards careful decisions without making the rules difficult to follow. Building your collection also gives you a clear reason to keep playing and upgrading your lineup. However, free players will need to be patient, as progression is considerably slower without the Premium Season Pass.
